Design thinking requires active and effective leadership to keep efforts on a path to success.

Much has been written about how you can use design thinking for innovation. Writing for Harvard Business Review, Christian Bason and Robert Austin argue that effective leadership is critical to success. They draw on their study of projects in large organisations, which focused not on how individual design-thinking teams worked, but on how the leaders who commissioned the work interacted with and enabled it.
